Elgin won against Santa Fe South last Monday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Elgin put the hurt on Santa Fe South with a sharp 15-2 win. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.

Tres Lorah was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kade Hilliary, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Elgin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .548 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Elgin's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.8 runs. As for Santa Fe South, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Looking ahead, Elgin will welcome Shawnee at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Elgin is facing Shawnee at the right time seeing as Shawnee is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Santa Fe South, they will head out to take on Putnam City at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Putnam City has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.08 runs per game on average), something Santa Fe South will no doubt try to take advantage of.
