Baseball Recap: Charlotte Extends Winning Streak to Three

It's playoff time, and Charlotte had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Fort Myers Green Wave 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Fightin' Tarpons have posted against the Green Wave since April 12, 2019.

Charlotte's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Giglio, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

The win (which was Charlotte's third in a row) raised their record to 18-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Fort Myers, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

As of now, neither Charlotte nor the Green Wave have any future games scheduled.
