Baseball Recap: Genoa-Kingston Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Genoa-Kingston was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Boone Vikings. The Cogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Genoa-Kingston dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Boone, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Coming up, Genoa-Kingston will take on Byron at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Cogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Boone, they will welcome Rockford Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
