Football Recap: Tullahoma Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Franklin County last Friday, Tullahoma came back down to earth. The Wildcats took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Central Lions on Friday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Tullahoma lost, don't look at Marvancy Johnson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 142 yards and two scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.

Daniel Booker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Columbia Central, rushing for 119 yards and three touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 63 yards. Lee Holloway got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Tullahoma has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Columbia Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Tullahoma wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-20 loss against Walker Valley on the 6th. As for Columbia Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 70-38 win against East Hamilton on the 6th.
