Softball Recap: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Sterling Tigers
Brush was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Sterling Tigers, falling 8-1. The Beetdiggers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Brush saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jolie Tuck, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI. What's more, Tuck also racked up two hits, the mostshe's had since back in September. Another player making a difference was Sidney Miller, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Brush's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Sterling, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-8-2.
Brush has already played their next game, a 12-5 win against Valley on the 8th. Sterling has also already played their next match, a 15-2 loss against Lyons on the 8th.
