Volleyball Recap: Shady Spring Tigers vs. Herbert Hoover Huskies

Shady Spring and Herbert Hoover squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Shady Spring had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-2. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Herbert Hoover's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braelyn Adkins, who had 37 digs and one assist. Those 37 digs gave Adkins a new career-high. Olivia Huddleston was another key player, getting 20 digs and two aces.

Shady Spring's loss dropped their record down to 40-13-1. As for Herbert Hoover, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 56-8-1.
