Volleyball Recap: Lake Mary Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lake Mary and Winter Park squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lake Mary had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

While Lake Mary ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-20.

Winter Park can attribute much of their success to Nicholas Baker, who had three digs and three aces.

Lake Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Winter Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Lake Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winter Park, they will take on Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
