Soccer Game Preview: Hannibal vs. Kirksville

The Hannibal Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Kirksville Tigers at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Hannibal's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Hannibal fell victim to Northwest and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Kirksville was forced to settle for a draw. They and Missouri Military Academy finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Kirksville's draw makes their record 6-2-1 this season. As for Hannibal, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Hannibal came up short against Kirksville when the teams last played back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
