Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jenkins County). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-7 victory over the Claxton Tigers. The War Eagles have beaten the Tigers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Jenkins County can attribute much of their success to Justin Wright, who rushed for 46 yards and one TD, and also threw for 31 yards and one touchdown.

Wright was just one part of a punishing run game: Jenkins County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Claxton only rushed for 133 rushing yards.

Jenkins County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Claxton, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Jenkins County is taking a road trip to square off against Screven County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
