Softball Recap: Northtown Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

While Northtown's victory against Cristo Rey Jesuit wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pumas had just enough and edged out the Cristeros 9-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-7 back in April.

Northtown pushed their record up to 5-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Northtown has already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus on the 16th. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will be taking part in a tournament against Phillips at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
