Basketball Recap: Allen Skates Past Roff with Ease

Allen had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Roff Tigers to the tune of 67-25. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Allen had a senior duo take command as Addison Prentice dropped a triple-double with 26 points, ten boards, and 11 steals and Cherish Woodward went 10-for-20 en route to 23 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Woodward is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Nickell, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 11 points and five steals.

Roff has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Allen has already played their next contest, a 56-21 loss against Vanoss on the 3rd. As for Roff, they will be playing at home against Latta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
