Volleyball Game Preview: Chariho Chargers vs. Barrington Eagles

The Chariho Chargers will square off against the Barrington Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chariho will be strutting in after a victory while Barrington will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Chariho narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Westerly 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Chariho got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-31, 25-17, 24-26, 25-20, 21-19.

Chariho can attribute much of their success to Ricky Comolli, who had 51 assists and 15 digs, and Jaxson Vachon, who had 20 digs. Vachon has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 13 times he's played.

Meanwhile, Barrington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Lions since May 25, 2021.

Barrington's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Chariho, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
