Thursday just wasn't the day for Sotomayor's offense. They were dealt a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Brennan Bears on Thursday. Micai Thompson went supernova for Brennan, rushing for 204 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. The dominant performance gave Thompson a new career-high in rushing yards. Donivin Lard also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Sotomayor and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Brennan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Sotomayor will face off against O'Connor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brennan, they will take on Harlan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brennan is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
