Baseball Game Preview: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Scott Beavers

The Cimarron Bluejays will head out to take on the Scott Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cimarron is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Five must be Cimarron's lucky number: they beat Spearville with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Bluejays had just enough and edged out the Lancers 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won four in a row.

Breck Averhoff was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Cimarron is undefeated when Averhoff posts two or more runs, but 3-4-2 otherwise.

Scott not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 17-2). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Colby. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beavers.

Cimarron's record now sits at 8-4-2. As for Scott, their record is now 6-4.

Cimarron skirted past Scott 9-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
