Baseball Recap: Ridgemont Takes a Loss

If Ridgemont was feeling good fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Arlington on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Gophers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Baltimore Tigers on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Gophers of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mason Woodruff was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Jon Cromer was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Ridgemont's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for North Baltimore, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ridgemont will challenge rival Cory-Rawson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Baltimore is set to take on their familiar foe Temple Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
