Football Recap: Crossover Prep Lions vs. Canadian Cougars        
        
		
             A  win for Crossover Prep just wasn't in the cards  on Friday as the  team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were dealt  a  54-18 defeat at the hands of the Canadian Cougars. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  30-6.
 Despite the loss, Crossover Prep still got an impressive performance from   Justin Perry, who picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Perry also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  forcing two fumbles and making six total tackles.
 Crossover Prep wouldn't let Canadian keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. Crossover Prep can thank  Perry and  Cameron Salim for forcing all of them.
  Austin White was a one-man wrecking crew for Canadian as he rushed for 223 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Those 223  rushing yards gave  White a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tyler Bird, who gained 162 total yards and three touchdowns.
 Crossover Prep is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Canadian,  the  victory snapped their winning streak at 11 games  dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Lions dukes it out withDestiny Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Canadian, they will host Keota  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Canadian is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
