Tintic dropped down to 3-5 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Bryce Valley Mustangs by a score of 14-12. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-8 on August 9th.

As for Bryce Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games.

For Bryce Valley's part, Gerardo Lopez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Lopez a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bryce Valley let Antonio Moreno and Clay Grey run wild. Moreno got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Grey went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. What's more, Moreno posted two hits, the most he's had over his last ten contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodolfo Perez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Looking ahead, Tintic will face off against Panguitch at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bryce Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Wayne at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
