Baseball Recap: Gueydan Comes Up Short

After flying high against V.B. Glencoe Charter last Friday, Gueydan came back down to earth. The Gueydan Bears lost 18-3 to the Comeaux Spartans on Tuesday.

Gueydan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Perrin, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Perrin's brought in this season.

Gueydan's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Comeaux, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gueydan will take on Mamou at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Comeaux, they will challenge St. Martinville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
