Baseball Recap: Friendly Comes Up Short

Friendly and Gwynn Park squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Friendly had to settle for second. They came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-5 defeat last Friday.

Friendly's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Gwynn Park, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Friendly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gwynn Park, they will square off against Frederick Douglass on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellowjackets 3.7, the Eagles 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
