Basketball Recap: Evanston Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Evanston hadn't done well against Glenbrook South recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Evanston Wildkits took down the Glenbrook South Titans 47-30. Given the Wildkits' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Titans are ranked 92nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evanston's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Glenbrook South, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.
