Everything went their way against the Army-Navy Warriors as they made off with a 12-1 victory. Coastal Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten games by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Gage Brumfield, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Peterson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
The win was the third in a row for Coastal Academy, bringing their record for this year to 16-9. As for Army-Navy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Coastal Academy will be playing at home against Kearny at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Coastal Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, Kearny a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Army-Navy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
