Volleyball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton lost against Loganville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Newton sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 15-9.

Newton dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Loganville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Newton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clarkston at 5:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Loganville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Morgan County on the 17th.
