Basketball Recap: Fair Grove Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

On Thursday, the Fair Grove Eagles beat the Battle Spartans 57-47. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Spartans are ranked 71st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fair Grove is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Battle, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Fair Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-58 win against Troy-Buchanan on the 24th. As for Battle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-56 defeat against Republic on the 24th.
