Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Lighthouse Prep Academy Eagles on the road by a 46-31 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Liberty Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-23 back in November of 2024.

Lauren Moss was Liberty Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted nine points.

Lighthouse Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Savannah Sinnett led the charge by putting up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Caroline Forker, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lighthouse Prep Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Liberty Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 36-20 defeat against Westwood Baptist Academy on the 17th. As for Lighthouse Prep Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Maranatha Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
