Baseball Game Preview: Northshore Panthers vs. E.D. White Cardinals

The Northshore Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the E.D. White Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Northshore's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so E.D. White's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Northshore is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Slidell just ended the team's 13-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since March 2, 2024.

Northshore got a good showing from Ethan Freeman, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Freeman has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, E.D. White made easy work of Bourgeois on Thursday and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

E.D. White's victory bumped their record up to 15-18. As for Northshore, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 30-5-1.
