Soccer Game Preview: Clarkston vs. Lithonia

The Clarkston Angoras will take on the Lithonia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Clarkston's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Lithonia has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Clarkston is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Marist on Friday. They came up short against the War Eagles, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Clarkston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Marist are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Lithonia scored the most goals they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 7-2 to Riverdale. The game was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Lithonia couldn't quite close it out.

Joselyn Munoz wasn't going to let Riverdale walk away unscathed as she scored both of Lithonia's goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

Lithonia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Clarkston, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Everything went Clarkston's way against Lithonia in their previous meeting back in February of 2021, as Clarkston made off with a 12-2 victory. Does Clarkston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lithonia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
