Softball Recap: Atmore Christian Comes Up Short

Atmore Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 21-6 to the Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stingrays apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Tamra Stoltzfus made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Kendall Harper was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Atmore Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atmore Christian will square off against Escambia Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they will welcome Aletheia Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.63 runs per game on average), something the Stingrays will no doubt try to take advantage of.
