Basketball Recap: Armstrong Comes Up Short

Armstrong has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils on Saturday, falling 71-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since January 13th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chaz Dubois, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 17 points and three steals. That's the most points Dubois has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Stanford, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 17 points.

Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, the win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Armstrong will square off against Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Iroquois West at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
