Football Recap: Robinson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Robinson had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it four. They took a blow against the Jefferson Dragons, falling 53-6. The Knights lost against the Dragons in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-27 score last time.

Marino Cozzens threw for 135 yards and one touchdown. Omar Anchico III was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards and one score.

As for Jefferson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. Considering they have won five matchups by more than 38 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jefferson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andreas Zayas, who rushed for 132 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. Zayas' longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another receiver making a difference was Reggie Nelson, who picked up 72 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Robinson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on King at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th. The Knights will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jefferson, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 63-0 win against Middleton on the 3rd.
