Mount Vernon has gone 9-1 against Utah School for the Deaf & Blind recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Wednesday. The Mount Vernon Patriots will head out to  take on the Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles  at 6:00  p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Mount Vernon and 19 for Utah School for the Deaf & Blind dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Mount Vernon lost to Telos on the road  by a   41-26 margin.
  Andre Hernandez put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he  posted 16  points and seven  boards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Pablo Lopez, who  scored three points and four  steals.
 Meanwhile, Utah School for the Deaf & Blind had to suffer through a   47-17 loss at the hands of Washington School for the Deaf. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the  match with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 143rd in Utah, while the Terriers are ranked 365th in Washington).
 Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Utah School for the Deaf & Blind, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
 Mount Vernon took their  win against Utah School for the Deaf & Blind  in their previous meeting  back in January by a conclusive  47-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Vernon since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
