Basketball Recap: Weldon Comes Up Short

If Weldon was riding high fresh off their 55-24 takedown of Rocky Mount Prep last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Weldon Chargers were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 54-53 to the Northwest Halifax Vikings. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 49-35.

Weldon has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Northwest Halifax, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-11.

As of now, neither Weldon nor Northwest Halifax have any future games scheduled.
