Baseball Recap: Chiles' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of three wins, Chiles's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nease Panthers. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Jack Neely was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Tyler Correa was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Chiles' loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Nease, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

While Chiles had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
