Basketball Game Preview: Aquinas Institute Little Irish vs. Franklin Bulldogs

Aquinas Institute is on a four-game streak of home losses, Franklin a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Aquinas Institute Little Irish will host the Franklin Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Aquinas Institute knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Franklin likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Aquinas Institute was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Webster Schroeder.

Meanwhile, Franklin lost to McQuaid Jesuit at home by a 71-54 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 653rd, while the Knights are ranked 266th).

Aquinas Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
