Basketball Recap: Menaul Skates Past Monte Del Sol Charter with Ease

Menaul won the last time they faced Monte Del Sol Charter and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Menaul Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons 53-6. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Panthers had established a 34 point advantage.

Leading Menaul to victory were Kazimieras Giedraitis and Talen Lucero. Giedraitis went 5 for 8 en route to 10 points and seven steals, while Lucero posted eight points. The dominant performance gave Giedraitis a new career-high in steals. Brayden King was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Menaul smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monte Del Sol Charter only pulled down three offensive boards.

Menaul's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Monte Del Sol Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

When Menaul and Monte Del Sol Charter next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Menaul will challenge Legacy Academy and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Menaul is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Monte Del Sol Charter will try to stop Oak Grove Classical Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
