Basketball Game Preview: Herscher Tigers vs. Tri-Point Chargers

The Herscher Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-Point Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Herscher turned things around against Streator on Thursday. They walked away with a 37-28 victory over the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Tri-Point came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Dragons to the tune of 49-20. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 28 points or more this season.

Tri-Point's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31 points. As for Herscher, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Everything came up roses for Herscher against Tri-Point in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, as the squad secured a 50-21 win. Will Herscher repeat their success, or does Tri-Point have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
