Softball Recap: St. Mary Central Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Mary Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Sandusky Blue Streaks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 19-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

St. Mary Central Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Flewelling, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

St. Mary Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Sandusky, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.

St. Mary Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-0 defeat against Gibsonburg on the 14th. As for Sandusky, they will take on Clyde at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fliers will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Blue Streaks surely won't give up without a fight.
