Soccer Recap: Brighton Takes a Loss

Brighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Erie Tigers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Brighton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Erie are ranked 34th).

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Erie, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-2.

Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Erie, they will venture away from home to take on Northfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Erie's defense better be ready for this one: Northfield have averaged an impressive 5.2 goals per game this season.
