Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 53-45 to the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 52-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Carlsbad, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on Alamogordo at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Carlsbad has already played their next matchup (against Lovington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
