Volleyball Recap: Owen Valley Patriots vs. Northview Knights
Owen Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Northview Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-9.
Northview was led to victory by Keira Lucas and Karsyn Buck. Lucas had 27 kills and seven digs, while Buck had 13 kills, four digs, and two aces. Lucas is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in the last 61 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Oellig, who had six digs and 26 assists.
Owen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Northview, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owen Valley will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Bloomington North at 7:00 p.m. As for Northview, they will venture away from home to take on Terre Haute South Vigo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
