Basketball Recap: Niceville's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Niceville entered their match against Milton on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The game between the Niceville Eagles and the Milton Panthers didn't end well, with the Niceville Eagles falling 60-43. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-47 back in December of 2024.

Niceville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Anwar Conley, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Fred Libby, who earned six points and five assists.

Milton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ra'Shaun Elzy, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. Those seven boards gave Elzy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Treymar Jones, who went 7 for 17 en route to 18 points and eight rebounds.

Niceville's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-8. As for Milton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Niceville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-38 win against Rocky Bayou Christian on the 16th. As for Milton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-35 victory against Unicoi County on the 17th.
