Football Game Preview: Cumby Trojans vs. Bowie Pirates + How To Watch

The Cumby Trojans will square off against the Bowie Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Cumby is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Clarksville just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 37-36 to the Tigers. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 20-14 in the first quarter.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Chayton Vaughan, who rushed for 142 yards on only 15 carries, and also picked up 52 receiving yards. Another back making a difference was Dakari Johnson, who rushed for 125 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bowie). They breezed past Celeste to the tune of 36-6 on Friday.

Bowie's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Cumby, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4.
