Soccer Game Preview: Odyssey Institute vs. ALA - Ironwood

The Odyssey Institute Minotaur are taking a road trip to face off against the ALA - Ironwood Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Odyssey Institute is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Benjamin Franklin on Friday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, the Minotaur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Chargers are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, ALA - Ironwood was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They lost 4-0 to Yuma Catholic. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Shamrocks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Odyssey Institute dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for ALA - Ironwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
