South El Monte better focus on containing Mark Hernandez-Chino and Vic Ceja as the pair were huge in Orange's win. Hernandez-Chino posted 16 points, while Ceja scored 15 points. The dominant performance gave Hernandez-Chino a new career-high in points.

South El Monte pushed their record up to 12-15 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Orange, their win bumped their record up to 6-24.
