Basketball Recap: Faith Doyle's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Foran over Amity Regional

If Foran was riding high fresh off their 69-43 takedown of Wilbur Cross last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Foran Lions came up short against the Amity Regional Spartans on Tuesday, falling 59-36. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in February of 2021.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Faith Doyle, who posted 13 points. Doyle is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Maddie Deldin was another key player, putting up nine points.

Nina Nardecchia continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Amity Regional, dropping a double-double on 33 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Sammy Moran, who put up six points and five rebounds.

Foran's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Amity Regional, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Foran has already played their next match (against Mercy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Amity Regional has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Hamden.
