Soccer Recap: Pecatonica Comes Up Short

Pecatonica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the Genoa-Kingston Cogs. While losing is never fun, Pecatonica can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Genoa-Kingston are ranked 156th).

Pecatonica's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Genoa-Kingston, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pecatonica will host Rockford Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will welcome Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
