Soccer Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Galesburg Silver Streaks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Sterling of the 7-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Delia Block, which was the first she's scored this season.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Galesburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Sterling didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Stillman Valley on the 3rd. As for Galesburg, they will face off against Geneseo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
