Basketball Recap: Perry Central Takes a Loss

Perry Central played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Corydon Central Panthers, falling 72-49. The Commodores have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Corydon Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grant Lindemann led the charge by going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. The dominant performance gave Lindemann a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Fessel, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Corydon Central, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Perry Central has already played their next contest, a 49-47 victory against Boonville on the 28th. As for Corydon Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-42 loss against Charlestown on the 28th.
