Basketball Game Preview: DeLand-Weldon Eagles vs. Salt Fork Storm

The DeLand-Weldon Eagles will head out to face off against the Salt Fork Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Last Saturday, DeLand-Weldon lost to Judah Christian on the road by a 63-45 margin.

Meanwhile, Salt Fork fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Schlarman on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilltoppers.

Salt Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for DeLand-Weldon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-21.

DeLand-Weldon was dealt a bruising 53-24 defeat at the hands of Salt Fork in their previous meeting back in December of 2016. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point DeLand-Weldon was down 33-6.
