Campbell County scored the most points they've had all season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 32-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Karns Beavers. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

A big part of Karns' win came down to the chemistry between Austin Slover and his top target Daesean Huckleby. Slover threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes while Huckleby picked up 51 receiving yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Slover a new career-high in rushing yards.

Campbell County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Karns, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.
