Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). They never let the Melvindale Cardinals get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Friday. It was an even better day for Kate Otting as she scored three goals for her team.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 7-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. As for Melvindale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will face off against Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Melvindale, they will take on Romulus at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
